Social Events

New Student Lunch

Every semester, the Warnell student organizations host a new student lunch in honor of the School’s new undergraduate and graduate students. Warnell faculty, staff, current, and new students are invited to attend and enjoy complimentary hot dogs and hamburgers in the courtyard.

The Wildlife Society Annual Wildlife Supper

Every spring, the student chapter of the Wildlife Society hosts the Wildlife Supper. This popular fundraiser provides an opportunity for wildlife professionals, Warnell students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other to socialize and taste exotic wildlife dishes and the annual "mystery meat."

American Fisheries Society Annual Fish Fry

The American Fisheries Society hosts an annual Fall Fish Fry to raise funds for their student organization. This social event provides an opportunity for all Warnell students, faculty, staff, career professionals, and alumni to socialize and eat a lot of fish, fries and hushpuppies. Door prizes, raffle prizes, and bluegrass music are provided.

Lumberjack Ball

The Lumberjack Ball, hosted by Xi Sigma Pi, is a fun social event held during the spring semester to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Events include the Miss Lumberjack Drag Competition, hot dog eating contest, pie the professor, tug of war, and many other events.

NEW!

Several new events were born during the 2007-2008 School year. Xi Sigma Pi hosted their first annual (and very successful) Low Country Boil. The NRRT Society hosted a Bluegrass Concert, and the Society for Conservation Biology hosted a conservation themed Bake-off. Hopefully each of these new events will become new Warnell traditions!
