Scholarships and Awards

All current Warnell students and students planning to transfer from another institution the following semester are eligible to apply for financial assistance. To be considered for a Warnell Scholarship, students must submit a resume or CV and a cover letter explaining their academic/career goals and their specific reasons for financial need (if applicable) by February 1st. Applications will then be forwarded to the Honors and Awards Committee, which is made up of several faculty members, staff, and students. The Committee will make selections, and then the chosen scholarship recipients will be notified and honored at our annual Spring Awards Banquet in April. Incoming UGA freshman will have an opportunity to apply for two scholarships (Forestry Alumni and C.M. and Bernice Stripling) at the beginning of the fall semester. A separate application process and deadline will be announced during UGA Orientation in August and via email to enrolled students.
