Without alumni & friends like you, we would not be able to provide our students and faculty with outstanding academic programs and opportunities.

Just a few reasons to give to Warnell:

Maintain excellence. Gifts allow Warnell to offer the level of excellence that students and alumni have come to expect. Warnell is preparing leaders who recognize and know how to solve complex problems related to forest sustainability, habitat conservation, and ecosystem management.
Supplement depleting state resources. With declining state funds, private gifts are more important than ever to allow Warnell to maintain its excellent reputation as one of the top forest resource programs in the nation. More than 15% of the School’s annual operating budget comes from private gifts. The school relies on gifts from alumni, parents, and friends to help make up the difference.
Support for obtaining grants. Alumni participation affects Warnell’s national rankings and ability to obtain grants. Ranking publication and grant-makers consider alumni participation in annual giving as an indicator of satisfaction with their experience and confidence in Warnell’s future. In addition, by giving, alumni & friends help Warnell remain at the top of alumni giving on the UGA Campus.
Gifts benefit the state’s economy! Georgia leads the nation in the production of goods and services from forests. In fact, forestry contributes more than $20 billion a year to the state’s economy!
