GIS and Spatial Analysis Lab

GIS and Spatial Analysis at Warnell focuses on the integration of GIS and remote sensing in natural resource management. The lab also supports the use of GIS by students, staff and faculty.
  • Over 80 computers (in 4 labs) with ArcGIS 9.2 and ERDAS Imagine installed
  • 15 Trimble GeoXM, 12 GeoExplorer 3, a handful of Garmin ETrex GPS units ready for use
  • The GIFF data repository (includes various political boundaries, road networks, 3 years of aerial photography, land cover, and much, much more)
  • Color laser printers, large format plotters, gigabit and T1 networks, and WiFi.
